“For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God who said ‘Let light shine out of darkness’, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” II Corinthians 4:5-6

"Up"

I don’t do movie reviews. I trust the opinion of Mr. Film. However, I took the family to “Up” the other day, and enjoyed the movie so much, I thought I would put a plug in for it. Here are some of the reasons I enjoyed “Up”.

1. The only thing I knew about the movie was that it was a Pixar/Disney movie. That’s it. I saw one trailer for it about 6 months ago, and had no idea how they would make a 2 hour movie about a house that floats away by balloons. So, I was surprised at the fact that I enjoyed the whole movie.

2. Funny. LOL funny.

3. I may be getting old and soft, but I almost cried. Yes, a stupid cartoon almost made me cry.

4. It upheld the significance of marriage wonderfully. I would say as much as or even more than a recent Evangelical movie that was about marriage.

5. The soundtrack was great.

6. It held my boys full attention verses Pixar’s last two: Ratatouille and WALL-E

7. It was very original.

8. It was artistically appealing. Very bright.

I am looking forward to buying this one when it comes out. It may be worth even another shot in the theater.
